About the JFP
The Jackson Free Press is Jackson, Mississippi's award-winning alternative newsweekly, covering news, politics, events, entertainment and dining in the Jackson Metro area. Over 16,000 copies of the JFP are printed and distributed in the Jackson Metro as well as in area college and resort towns, reaching more than 40,000 adults.
The JFP is Missisippi's first and only member of the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies, a competitive professional organization. In three years of publishing, the JFP has won five national writing awards from AAN.
