Jackson's creative community has so much to offer, and there is no better way to enjoy it than visiting the variety of art galleries in the area, talking to local artists and experiencing art firsthand. Grab a friend and take a Saturday Art Tour to six of Jackson's most creative hot spots.

You can start wherever you like, of course, but we recommend beginning the day at Southern Breeze Gallery in Ridgeland. Then, head into Jackson to Fondren Art Gallery and Brown's Fine Art & Framing.

Take a short drive downtown to the Mississippi Museum of Art, browse the galleries and enjoy lunch at The Palette Cafe by Viking. Experience the beautiful art at Gallery 1 on Jackson State University's campus.

Then, end your tour with a stroll through the collection at Fischer Galleries, where the staff welcomes shoppers on Saturday, but customers should call to set up an appointment.
