There's no better to bridge racial gaps than to tackle it head-on, if you ask me. Mission Mississippi, a Christian organization, is trying to do just that. It's time again for it's Two and Two promotion. Today, May 20, and Thursday, May 22, participating restaurants are giving 22 percent discounts (off check, not tip) for racially diverse groups that dine together for lunch or dinner. Take someone of your race and at two friends or acquaintances of a different race to lunch or dinner at Bravo, the Brick Oven, Broad Street, Broad Street Express, Bully's, Mikhail's, 930, Primos, Trace Place (Clinton) or Two Sisters downtown and go on and get your discount. And if you always dine in mixed company, why not do it just to get the discount? ;-) Sounds groovy to me. (By the way, if you do this Thursday night, come on by the Lounge at George Street afterward for a multi-racial gathering of creatives and all-around nice folk.) Call 353-6477 for details.
