Ghetto Science Public Television presents "Energy Savin' Spring and Summa Time Tips and Stuff" with Grandpa Pookie and Bruh JoJo.
Grandpa Pookie:
"Spring is here with its warm weather, flowers, greenery and sunshine! What a time it will be with high energy rates, cost of living, unemployment and the possibility of children returning to understaffed and overcrowded schools.
"Don't worry, my working poor and financially challenged friends! Bruh JoJo and I got yo' back! Consider these tips for spring and summer:
1. Keep your lights off as much as possible.
2. Turn on your air conditioner when it's really hot.
3. Stay cool with a low-watt electric fan or a Missionary Baptist Church fan from the Dr. Sammie Higginbotham Funeral Home.
4. Use a clothes line to dry clothes.
5. Grow and maintain a fruit and vegetable garden.
6. Buy and consume inexpensive food items such as chicken franks, pork-n-beans, potato salad, etc.
7. Spend more leisure time outside on the front porch or back yard.
8. Have plenty of popsicles and Kool-Aid for the kids
9. Substitute white bread for hot dog buns.
10. Add a can of bug and mosquito repellant to your emergency medicine kit.
11. Use your grill, BBQ, and remember the Pepto Bismo."
Bruh JoJo:
"Purchase everything you need at JoJo's Dollar Store to help you save money, conserve energy and maintain yo' sanity this summer during these harsh economic times as G.W. makes the world go 'round.'
