[verbatim statement] The National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC), the nation's Black gay civil rights group, is deeply disappointed by Millions More Movement March executive director Reverend Willie Wilson's decision this morning to rescind the agreement to include an openly gay speaker at the Millions More March.
During a meeting on Wednesday of this week, Minister Farrakhan asked NBJC president Keith Boykin to speak at the Millions More March. Boykin agreed to speak but Wilson today refused to allow Boykin to take the stage.
In previous conversations with Minister Farrakhan, he has consistently kept his word to include a gay speaker. Reverend Wilson, however, has not been cooperative. NBJC is calling on Minister Farrakhan to fulfill his agreement to include a gay speaker at the March today.
