I'm excited about this event. My first reading of this year---- and it includes work that I have done over the past five months as well as some of my most requested poetry. Excited about reading my poems NO SAMARITAN and CONFLICT OF INTEREST for the first time. No cover for this one. It's all about the poetry. Products will be available from myself and other local poets, but come prepared to sit back and enjoy.

Again. I want it again... Yes, I want it again. The feeling I had when your voice reached down inside me and rocked my soul with its tenderness. I want to fall asleep again with you on my mind and with the smell of you wrapped around me the way your arms would be if you were here... Right here beside me. I want it again, the fifteen minutes of pleasure I promised to bring to your body with just my lips. And the three extra minutes it took when fifteen minutes just didn't seem like long enough. I want it again, The bumping and grinding of my mind with your mind, stimulated by the good conversation that neither of us wanted to end. And why do I want this again? The answer is simple: You see, you have brought the season of spring to that part of my life that for so long had only known the chill, the cold chill of fall. You have brought a smile to my soul that last long after our conversation ends and the door shuts between us and I'm grateful to you for that. So let me tell you again, Thank you. Thank you for taking an interest in me for being only me. Thank you for helping me to appreciate me. Thank you for allowing me to know the you that is honest and true . Thank you. Thank you for just your being you. And when our journey together seems to have reached a standstill, may you join with me in saying... Again. I want it again. And again. And again. * from C. A. Regardless of whatever else I do---or try to do---poetry wil always be the lifeline for me. This poem, L.W., is one of my few admissions when it comes to my feelings toward others. Along with AGAIN, I will be reading CONFLICT OF INTEREST a new poem about an experience I had at the end of last year. (One of those "involuntary" moments I told you about at the summit.) As for your writing, you know what they say: it's just like riding a bike! Looking forward to hearing some from you soon.

(One of those "involuntary" moments I told you about at the summit.) Dude, don't make me laugh again. It took a while to stop yesterday!

that poem was a refreshing experiance that was truly an inspiration to find what i once had: i've had writers block for over a year now. Something will come to me occasionally but it just hasn't flowed freely like it used to. i really like that poem

Lanier High School student Amanda "The End Poet" Furdge is my special guest poet for this event. She confirmed today. You might remember she is the young lady who hosts the poetry event at city hall monthly.
