GREAT discussion right now between Banner and a caller. This is such an important discussion—from both ends. Cheers to them all.

Ladd, I agree. It has been a great discussion, but I am missing the connection with Milsaps. Banner has always done well with defending himself--- even though he shouldn't even have to. As he mentioned in the outset, there are those who play roles in movies who do and say a great deal more. He is an entertainer. What he does outside of that should be commended and recognized without being criticized.

The Millsaps connection relates to the letter from student body president castigating Kamikaze's political remarks during his performance at Millsaps. Here are two threads on the matter (sorry, you'll have to cut and paste, I am link illiterate!) http://www.jacksonfreepress.com/comments.php?id=10963_0_4_0_C http://www.jacksonfreepress.com/forums/threads.php?id=10953_0_36_0_C

The conversation was going do well didnt really get a chance to touch alot on the Millsaps incident. FTP..that was MY controversy LOL!!! But actually the bigger issue of the lyrics/role model thing was more important. Speaks volumes about gauging if MS has become more progressive or not. Callers like those who called in to Supertalk could have an adverse effect on how we as hiphop artist are treated here.
