My question as well, Emily. Can we listen online? I might be able to listen between QA calls. :)

WLEZ is not back online yet, although we intend (if at all possible), to podcast the shows. (I'm really tempted to use commercial music and would either need to license that music or edit it our for the podcast, so that may slow down turnaround. Or, I may break down and buy a web license!) So...if all goes well, you *could* listen online later in the day. Let me emphasize -- this is *beta* testing. (Maybe "alpha"!) But it can't be anything but fun, right?? :-)

Right!!!!!!! It's going to be great. And I think the podcast is very doable. You could use freeware audacity to cut it probably for a podcast. If I could do it, anyone could do it. I FINALLY got an IPod! The last human on earth!

Is the web license out of a sponsorship dollar range? I know the licensing at the mall was OUTRAGEOUS...but how affordable would the web be? Maybe in a range a business could sponsor the show? I FINALLY got an IPod! The last human on earth!

I thought I was the last person on earth to get an Ipod! It feels good to step into the 21st century huh? Good luck with the show guys! I tried to get a show on WLEZ myself several months ago, but coming up with sponsors was a total b*tch. The station really needs to get a salesperson. I hope your show is successful, and I will definitely be listening!

Thanks, Andi. I've been informed by Mr. Radio that I will be co-hosting Friday. Y'all definitely tune in and give us moral support.

I can give you immoral support... but I can't tune in. I can't have a radio at work, sadly. Knock 'em dead! :)

This rocks, because the last time I listened to real radio on a regular basis, I'm pretty sure it was B95.5FM--which should tell y'all how long it's been! Cheers, TH

BTW, all, we taped the Dec. 15 show today. I don't promise perfection with the tech side, yet, but the interview with Olivier was drop-dead amazing. You can't miss this one.

I know. He's just remarkable. We talked a lot today about the need for apology, restitution and redemption. He believes that Cedric is offering Mississippi a gift by giving us an opportunity to right a wrong done to him. Certainly, people talk a lot about how it won't do any good to go back and prosecute all civil-rights murders, without understanding that so much of the good comes because we feel as if we need to. We are, thus, helping ourselves and our state by coming to that conclusion. In this instance, it's more of a no-brainer, really. Cedric *needs* the help. Every dime we collect for him, and every Christmas card a stranger sends him, will help not only Cedric start over, but offers our state a chance to come together to right an injustice. Ross' words are truly inspirational. I sat on the side with tears in the my eyes the whole time he talked on the show. And, I should add, how proud we are of Brian, who wrote a wonderful story that, in turn, inspired a man like Ross to try to inspire all of us. It's really beautiful, and there is no better reason to do what we do than to see something like this result from good storytelling.
