The New York Giants jumped out to a 21-0 lead against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday in Nashville, only to give up 24 points in the fourth quarter and lose, 24-21. There was plenty of blame to go around and Giants coach Tom Coughlin took quarterback Eli Manning to task for a boneheaded interception late in the game that led to the Titans' game-winning field goal. Of course, one could also ask who was calling the plays and asking Eli to throw late in the game rather than play it safe and go to overtime. Just saying.

Eli is succumbing to the pressures of the big onion. Look at how it effected Arod and the Big Unit recently. Look how it eventually got to by favorite baseball player for years, Dave Windfield. Those New Yorkers expect victories or your head. Beyond his brother and daddy, Eli needs to talk to Jeter, Bernie Williams, Phil Simms, et al. Or, get him some help like the great Lawrence Taylor did. Pressure never bothered Lawrence - he was far too inebriated or high to feel any.

Ray: we going in there like a pack of crazed dogs. Can you imagine Vick pulling his running crap with a young LT? LT would be licking his chops. Hello Mr Vick, Meet Mr. Theisman. I think Eli will be fine. Giants don't have really great personnel around him. Every qb hits a little slump, this is just the media needing a story.

I do have a little hate against the Giants though. Plaxico was a Steelers and left so I wish him nothing but failure which enures to Eli too unfortunately. Every time Plaxico makes a great catch, I can't hepl but say "bastard never did that for us." King, I like the Saints too and finally am unafraid to be a fan. The hurting maybe almost over with. Wes Chandler was my favorite Saints player.

I agree King. Eric Dickerson, arguably the best runner in pro football history although he foolishly left the Rams and didn't get to prove it, was asked once what did he key on or look for when playing the Giants. He said " the number 56."
