Watch this TV ad for U.S. Senate candidate Bob Corker very carefully. The pattern is very simple--each of the actors says something about Corker's (black) opponent, Rep. Harold Ford (D-TN), intended for comic effect (e.g., "I do have too many guns").
Each of the actors except one, who also happens to be the only actor to appear in the ad twice.
Corker, to his credit, has condemned the RNC ad:
...but immediately afterwards, Corker for Senate aired a radio ad that plays organ music while discussing Corker...and jungle drums while discussing Ford.
The Southern Strategy is not dead, nor doth it sleep.

I didn't hear "jungle music" either. True, there were a lot of drums in the background, but it sounds more like an a stock drumbeat you would here in a la a Hollywood thriller rather than something obviously African. Don't Celts (?) Druids (?) have strong drum music too? I can just as easily imagine this drumbeat used to demonize a white election opponent.

Celts do to some degree, but the Japanese have Taiko drumming, which is very awesome to watch and listen to. I think they're using stock drums to create a sense of "dread" around the other candidate. You'll notice they're muted, with more strings and smooth synth under the star of the commercial. At least that's my take on it. :)
