New JFP Assistant Editor Maggie Burks will join Donna Ladd and Todd Stauffer today (Friday, Aug. 17) on Radio JFP on WLEZ (103.7 FM), also streaming live. Maggie will talk about Jackpedia, our user-generated guide to Jackson, which we also published this week as a print edition (on the streets now, but going fast). We'll also ask Maggie probing questions about coming of age in Jackson, which she talk about in her editor's note this week.
Update: An audio file of the show is posted here.

Mags did good for herself today, though she has a face for TV, not radio.

I liked the background information on her family and her education given in the other column. I like knowing where people come from and their lineage. The wife says this makes me noisy. I counter that it defines and explains people. I don't feel like I know a person until I know where they're from, where they were educated, who their parents are, etc.. Maybe I am noisy.
