Comment: I listened to the Charles Evers show last night. He was upset with MCMillin about his comment of not supporting anyone who frank melton is supporting. He went so far to say, "Who is he to be telling black folks who to vote for." They were not taking calls so I didn't get the chance to ask Evers about his earlier comments re melton's relationship with young boys. I guess these folks don't remember what they said or simply think that we are all stupid. Faye Peterson hit the station on two wheels and she was so effective dispelling the negatives that Smith laid out before she arrived. Faye is nobody's play toy and she can definitely hold her own. I was impressed!

Comment: I was a member of the Hinds County grand jury during the spring of 2007. For two weeks we listened to literally hundreds of cases ranging from minor traffic violations to vicious murders. The toughest cases involved exploitation and abuse of minors. Even older jury members were shocked by the depravity of mothers and fathers. Faye Peterson listened to the vast majority of the cases as the officer described them to us. (She could have left that task to her staff.) It became apparent that Ms Peterson was completely conversant with each one. She was not there to be briefed; rather, she was there to ensure the law enforcement officer had his (or her) act together for their presentation before the grand jury. Ms. Peterson came across and a warm, confident district attorney. She is a ferocious defender of children. I spent the days in growing admiration of Ms. Peterson. She is an outstanding product of Jackson, one who can hold her own anywhere in the country. Tommy Gregory

Comment: Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I had to let this be known. My husband was in a nightclub (Couples) on Saturday night and said that Robert Smith came in with Darnell Turner and some other thugs. The guys had on Rober Smith campaign shirts and he (Smith) was walking around the club shaking hands, etc. Is that weird to just me or do you guys have a problem with that. I don't like it at all!

Comment: Well the club is a good place to be especially when you're campaigning. If you were running for office you would be in there to. Where else can you find a crowd besides the club. DUH!
