OK, being that y'all blogheads deserve to be the first to know about our various online shenanigans, allow me to introduce you to the state's brand-new political wire, StateDesk.com. It's in beta stage, of course, and we're still getting its bells and whistles loaded up (lots of surprises ahead), but we've started linking the state's political headlines around the state and blogging on what's happening at the Legislature and in state political races.
So, hurry before the print edition hits the street and the masses know about it, and go on over and start commenting. Note that your JFP registration will not be valid there, and for the moment, you do not have to register to comment (at least until a handful of schmucks ruin it for everyone). The same User Agreement rules will apply there, with or without registration, of course in order to preserve the integrity of the conversation. So we personally invite each of you to head on over and help challenge the virginity of the state's exciting new political wire. Go on.

All, there is breaking political news right now over on State Desk. Keep an eye over there—that's where we're going to break news about new candidates and share juicy rumors, not to mention dissect state political coverage and legislative moves. It's the new place to be online. OK, one of two place to be. ;-)

Thanks, JPF. We're really excited about it. Watch for legislator-bloggers coming online shortly! And, I promise y'all a forum soon so you can start threads yourself. I know this crowd.

...as soon as it sends the validation email. Unless I've been pre-emptively banned. :D

Hey, I thought about it, Iron. ;-) Actually, you can post without registration there. For now, anyway. So have at it.

Hey, I'm stuck on the word "good." Ha! Get your butt over there and post. You're living proof that we welcome different points of view. Remember, y'all are posting to a statewide audience over there. Straighten your tie and sit up straight. And let it roar. We have better smileys there, too. ;-)

I thought the same thing: I signed up yesterday afternoon, and still haven't received the email. Now that I know I can post, it doesn't matter as much. And I'm not as conservative as Ironghost is. :)

Congratulation ladd and the JFP. It seems as if you have been given the lever, a place to stand and now you can move the world! I hope that some of these conservative State folks won't come down to the JFP and "snatch a knot" in the captain of this mostly liberal ship. Hang in there!
