StateDesk.com Ramping Up for Elections

And we're off ... !

The JFP's new statewide political site, StateDesk.com, is starting to ramp up after a few months of beta bug testing (yes, it's faster now). We have a new political intern, Kate Royals of Millsaps College, who is loading up the site with candidate Web sites for statewide offices, as well as local county offices, as well as posting campaign and other state political news near daily. So head over to click to candidate sites, as well as comment on political races.

Thanks for bringing that up. I keep forgetting to go over there because I am doing a serious juggling act on this here Web thingy. :-)

I'm glad you brought it up as well, Donna, because I had just been wondering who all would be running in the primaries on August 7th, went to StateDesk and there was exactly the information I needed - and thanks, Kate, for doing such a great job.

Thanks! Kate's loading up StateDesk more today so keep an eye out lucdix. We know people need a place to find out what they need to know about candidates. As you know, we always do a PoliticsBlog leading up to elections. This year, we decided to launch a separate site. Todd just got some bugs worked out that were slowing it down, so we should be ready to roll! Also, all, you don't have to register (yet) to post over there. So go on over and start chatting. I'll see about getting forum up there soon so y'all can start your own state politics threads. And each candidate will have a wiki page very shortly. ;-)
