College football, Mississippi State at Kentucky (11:30 a.m., Lexington, Ky., Ch. 12/105.9 FM): The Bulldogs badly need a win to shore up their bowl hopes, but it won't be easy to get one in the den of the 14th-ranked Wildcats. … Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Jackson State (3 p.m., Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium, Jackson, 1300 AM): The Tigers entertain the Golden Lions for homecoming. JSU can't afford any more stumbles in SWAC play.

Sunday, Oct. 28
College football, Central Florida at Southern Miss (7 p.m., Hattiesburg, ESPN/1180 AM/103.3 FM): The cable TV eyes of America—or those not watching the World Series—will see the Golden Eagles battle the Golden Knights. … Pro football, New Orleans at San Francisco (3:15 p.m., Ch. 40/620 AM): The Saints have never had much luck in the city by the Bay.

Pro baseball, Boston at Colorado in the World Series (7 p.m., Ch. 40): Unless somebody sweeps the first four games, the Rockies will host the Red Sox in Game 5.
