Radio JFP at Noon Thursday; Crisler May Appear

Councilman Marshand Crisler is joining Donna Ladd and Todd Stauffer today at noon for Radio JFP on WLEZ-FM (103.7 or http://www.wlezfm.com for a live stream)—if he can get out of city budget meetings long enough. If he makes, we'll discuss the city budget woes and his devotion to Buy Jackson. Regardless, we will also discuss our cover package of stories this week about revelations about Gov. Haley Barbour and the tragic case of Heather Spencer's murder, and what needs to be done to present other such murders. Tune in at noon, or check the site later for an audio file.

Good show today. I didn't get a chance to listen to the last 15 minutes, though. Great "Law & Order" theme music impersonation, Todd!

Ooo, you didn't hear his Bill Clinton, Ross Perot and Kermit impersonations then! (He tried Haley Barbour and failed.) We get a little wacky when it's just the two of us. We act a bit too much like we talk at home. ;-)

I only want to give my comments regrading the very first section of your show. I read the article about the two body guards for Mr. Smith and I think it is wasteful. However, I happened to visit a friend who resides on his street, in the same block, on Labor Day and I know that two police cars were at the home for more than three hours. I never saw any other police patroling, only the two parked cars. One was in Mr. Smith's driveway and the other was parked on the street in front of his home. My friend told me upon my departure that the police had been down at Mr. Smith's home since the day he won the election. I think it is just a waste of city dollars, much of what we don't have these days.
