I was just reading the comments under the Think Progress Barbour "corruption" thread and saw this comment that deserves more discussion:
But thanks to the corporate controlled press most people will never know how flawed Barbour is. (locals excepted) Can't be against something you don't know about and while the corporate controlled press is anxious to discuss at great length any perceived flaw in the Democratic Candidatesthey bow and scrape respectfully and slobber all over the Republicans.
Certainly, the fawning coverage of Barbour here in Mississippi has kept many facts about him off the local radar, it seems. My question is: Do people in Mississippi know about the Hong Kong controversy, for instance? And why has the state's media been so slow to be critical of this very powerful governor?
