The long national nightmare is over (for today): The Green Bay Packers traded unretired quarterback Brett Favre to the New York Jets on Wednesday night. Favre wanted to go to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but the Packers didn't want that. With Favre in the Big Apple, the only way the Packers will play the Jets this season is if both teams make the Super Bowl. Ha ha ha ha. Doctor S cracked himself up.
This didn't take long: The Jets are already selling the Favre Jets jersey on their Web site.

Thanks goes out to the good doctor for posting this. Favre is what the doctor ordered, a geniune Mississippi hero playing football in New York City. Now, we don't have to pretend Eli is a Mississippi native or Mississippi hero anymore. Eli belongs to Loose-Anna but it's already to love him anyway. I like Eli and Peyton because they're good boys who took after their mother's side of the family. Eli won me over as a fan with his performance in that Super Bowl. I wasn't ready for that particular miracle either. The one time in my life I pulled for the Patriots and them sombitches let me dowm. I hope they lose every game this season.
