Folks, the JFP was saddened to learn that Adam Lynch's mother died this week after a long illness. Please send your prayers to Adam and his family.
Our staff has also been hit with illness in recent days and weeks (I'm propped in bed with a bronchial thing), so we welcome any citizen journalist assistance you can give to keep us abreast of what's going on out there. Feel free to post news links in the Forums yourself, or e-mail Maggie Burks directly at maggie (at) jacksonfreepress (dot) com to report a story we should be pursuing. She's commandeering the editorial ship nearly alone this week.
We'll be back fully in the saddle shortly. Thanks for your support.

Adam, our family has you and yours in our prayers. We that have lost our Moms, know the pain and hurt you are feeling. Someone noted on another blog what a "good guy" you are. I am sure your Mom had alot to do with that. She also probably had alot to do with what I feel is the fact that you are the best (and most complete) reporter this city has ever had. God bless you and yours.

Sorry about your mom. :( No one ever really heals completely after the lost of a beloved mother. It will get better with time, but take comfort in this; I am sure your mom was extremely proud of you. I am sure you made her smile often---why? Because she produced one heck of a journalist. Be strong.
