The New York Times is reporting that the great civil rights leader John Lewis is saying he will cast his superdelegate vote for Barack Obama, rather than Hillary Rodham Clinton, whom he endorsed in October:
"In recent days, there is a sense of movement and a sense of spirit," said Mr. Lewis, a Georgia Democrat who endorsed Mrs. Clinton last fall. "Something is happening in America, and people are prepared and ready to make that great leap."
That hurts. I'd watch for other superdelegates to start saying the same thing.

Saw this on the news this morning. Representaive Cliburn said he saw a Congresman crying about the the choice of Hillary and Obama. He didn't say it was John Lewis but I wonder if it was. John Lewis (one of MLK's closest movement sons) is a deeply principled man. I have great respect for him. Andy Young, a fraternity brother of M.L.K., Kaze, Goldenae and another blogger around here, has been acting irratic and crazy-like in his latter years and my respect for him is dropping a little bit, but John Lewis remains principled and dedicated to the cause of freedom, justice and bettering the country. John's actions are understandable and rarely if ever for the sole bebefit of self. If Andy (Mr. Wal-Mart and slipper of the tongue) doesn't recapture his senses soon he might disappoint the ghost of King as much as Jessie has already done. Without King, Andy and Jessie are capable of going haywire. Especially Jessie who King had great difficulties controlling while he lived.

Ray, I would not agree with you on that about Andy. He does seem to be off his rocker in recent years. Who is the other mystery blogger that is a frat brother of mine, M.L.K and Kaze(what an impressive group)?

Goldenae, topping Jessie would be hard for Andy or anyone else. Andy made some stereotypical remaks about, I think, Asians a few months ago. Even if you think that crap, no sensible or responsible person would say them.

I always think it is sad for someone that is part of a group that has been discriminated to do the same to someone of another group. You would think someone that has experienced something would know better and therefore do better. Maybe it boils down to people wanting their chance to pick on someone else. When you know better, you should do better.

If this story is even remotely correct, should we be speaking of voter fraud over "human error?"

But even if the NY Post story is true, how much of a difference would it make in the New York primary results? It should be investigated, but Hillary was way ahead and I don't know if it would change the outcome.

And when I read that headline, I thought it meant Obama was robbed at gunpoint by a thug.

I meant benefit not bebefit. Bebefit? Isn't that the name of a clohing line? LOL Who is the other mystery blogger that is a frat brother of mine, M.L.K and Kaze(what an impressive group)? Ray-Ray. Unfortunately, that's just how some folks operate. Insecure people tear down others to feel better about themselves. That's why bullies exist.
