The Clarion-Ledger is reporting that John Reeves, the Republican legislator from South Jackson, said today that he is no longer planning to challenge Adrienne Wooten, a Democrat who defeated him in November, in the Legislature.

He's planning it already. The news reported he was considering lobbying. Hope the ethics commission builds something in about former legislators waiting for a few years before being allowed to do this type of work. Salespeople have to wait, shouldn't they have to wait as well? The US Congress enacted such a law and Sen. Lott resigned two days before it became effective. Go figger!
