I really, really hate the lamestream's horse-race coverage. Speaking of, we heard that a Clarion-Ledger reporter gave a really uninformed interview tonight on public radio—either NPR or MPB. Anyone else hear it? Reports?

Someone just e-mailed us to point out that Ms. Rupp is complaining on her "Poli-tease" blog that Todd spelled her first name incorrectly in his post about her NPR interview above, saying that she "just" wants her name to be spelled right. We have corrected the spelling of her name above, and the JFP apologizes to her for making that error. Perhaps this will also serve as an example to Clarion-Ledger reporters that it doesn't hurt at all to admit when we make errors, or to prominently correct them. Because as Ms. Rupp points out, mistakes and factchecking do matter to people and readers, not to mention reporters.
