OK, if all these desperate Republicans are going to follow Rush Limbaugh's advice and turn out to vote for Hillary Clinton in order to try to keep Obama (and his turnout) from beating McCain in November, then why in holy hell don't they *not* telling the exit pollsters what they're up to? Because, uh, doesn't it rather negate the purpose of trying to get Democrats to think that Clinton is more electable (when she's not) by 'fessing up to your crossover-crime as soon as you leave the poll booth? I'm thinking this just makes the Republican Party look kinda out of tricks, no?

The whole idea of crossing over to vote for Hillary because she won't be able to McCain and Obama can just sounds dishonest, I could never do it. If your canidate can't be them head to head and in a fair election then maybe they shouldn't be elected anyway. I usually vote Rep. but they are beginning to make me think they are all idiots. Yep ,Donna, they are dumba$$es.

Agreed, Bubba. Don't forget the Dems in this state aren't above tricks, either—remember that they had Mitch Tyner run against Haley Barbour as a Republican in order to be the bad guy. This isn't the way to win voters and influence people. Hopefully, the Dems and Repubs in this state will start to figure out that there needs to be more to politics than game-playing. That also extends to voter ID/reforms. Truth is that voter ID is not going to help Repubs block Democratic voters all that much, but they will violate their own anti-regulation ideology in order to try to keep a few Dems out of the polls. Makes no sense. Hosemann himself is saying that the primary went very smoothly considering considering the huge turnout; then he turns around and ends his MPB interview this morning yelping about needing voter reform. No. We. Don't. And if we did, they could prove it with cold, hard facts—rather than by resorting to bigotry and scare tactics.

Rush is a Commentator, first and foremost. Despite his mantra, he's not "Always Right". He's popular now because the Democratic Media needs someone to point to as the Ideological flagbearer. As for the rest, it's best to assume voters will make up their own minds come November.

I should clarify that we don't need "voter reform" of the kind Hosemann and his GOP buddies are pushing. We need the kind of reform that makes voting smoother and easier, and allows felons to easily vote again once they've served their time. It makes no sense to disenfranchise people forever, especially people in prison due to the drug war.

Voting is smooth and easy, as far as I've seen.

Harry, I think you crossed a line there with your implication. We really don't need jokes like this, whether you meant it or not. I've snipped.
