OK, here's a Fly question of the week. We have two old wool men's sweaters here with a few holes in them (moths?). One is black; one is gray. What kind of DIY project would you use them for?
Post below, or send your ideas to [e-mail missing]; the best idea gets a prize—and with any luck a finished DIY project in a future Fly issue!

You could make a purse out of them, I've seen sweater purses that are cute. Or you could also turn them into dog sweaters with some savvy cutting and re-knitting or sewing. This all reminds me I need to take my sewing machine to the repair shop!

I love the purse idea! Another thing you could do is make pillows out of them. Remove the sleeves, and you get three pillows from one sweater. Patches could be sewn over the holes. You could even add tassels to the corners.

Potholders; cuddly holder for breakables; house slippers; "feet" to go under furniture legs sitting on scratchable floors; part of a funky quilt; use in a 3-D art piece and/or collage; make cute door knob covers; make a cute cover for scales; use under flower pots to keep them from ringing a surface. Fun!
