Byram Middle School Honors Military Veterans

[Verbatim] There will be a Veterans' Day Program on November 11, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at Byram Middle School. Veterans, currently serving military personnel and the public are all invited to share in remembering and honoring our veterans. Please come join us for this special recognition of our men and women serving in our uniformed services.

You may also be interested in learning about another veterans program at Byram--D.I.M.E. (Donations In support of Military Excellence). Byram Middle School students are participating in a fund raiser by collecting dimes to help purchase a display case for Jack Lucas's leather vest. Jack Lucas is the youngest military personnel to receive the Congressional Medal of
Honor. A nameplate will be placed on the display case noting "Donated by Byram Middle School Students". The vest and display case will be presented to the owner of the Harley Davidson Shop at the Trail of Honor.
