It's official: Donovan McNabb is an idiot. The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, who's been in the NFL for 10 years, said he didn't know that a game could end in a tie until after the Eagles tied the Cincinnati Bengals, 13-13, on Sunday. It was the first tie in the NFL since 2002.

And just how does this make him an idiot? Did not knowing this affect his play or the outcome of the game? Maybe it did, I don't know. Would he have worked harder or done something differently had he known that? Does one have to know every rule of a game to be an outstanding participant therein? Don't get me wrong, we expect lots from coaches and quarterbacks. I play a lawyer occasionally in real life and there are many laws and rules I've never read and don't intend to. I don't even like law to be honest about the matter yet some people think I execute the task or practice well during the moments I choose or am forced to execute the job. You can't know everythang, Doc, else ye be a nerd and have too little time to play with the honeies. Who among us would choose learning over the honeys. I know I wouldn't. I'm not that dumb! Football is his job and just a game, doctor, not his life, no matter how much he gtes paid. It's the referees and coaches job to know the rules. He not perfect. So what if I stand alone in my argument?
