It's a relief to see at least one instance of McCain supporters confronting the anti-Muslim sentiment outside GOP rallies. Let's hope there's more of it.

Apparently CNN tried to contact Daniel Zubairi, the McCain campaign worker who took that jerk to task, but the McCain campaign wouldn't give him him permission to speak.

If I were Zubairi, I would quit the campaign and, as my mom says, "sing like a songbird." I would talk to every media outlet that asked for an interview. They act like they're ashamed of him or something. Are they afraid that their base will know that a Muslim is working for them? Did they even consider that Muslims who want to vote for McCain may not want to be shoved into the political bell tower like Quasimodo? I wonder how McCain supporters would react if about 20 Muslimahs showed up at a rally wearing burqas and McCain-Palin buttons.
