The Zydepunks will play during the Pickin' & Paddlin' outdoor festival April 18 at Mayes Lake.

Pickin' & Paddlin'
• April 18, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
• Mayes Lake/ Lefleur's Bluff
• $10 general admission; $20 activity pass

If you enjoy good music and the great outdoors, Pickin' & Paddlin' is the way to spend your Saturday. In the morning, athletes (or wannabes) can participate in a 5K trail run/walk, canoe races and kayaking. As the weather heats up, so does the music. The Scramblers start off the day with music at 10:45 a.m., followed by the sultry jazz musician Rhonda Richmond, Cajun band the Vrai Boys and Irish-Cajun punk band The Zydepunks. Proceeds from the festival go toward funding summer educational and spiritual enrichment programs for the kids of the Neighborhood Christian Center. Call 601-540-3710 or e-mail [e-mail missing] for more info.
