The vagina. Those of us who have them also have many stories about them, whether it be about the first time you menstruated, making love to your partner (or yourself, in some cases), being raped or abused, or giving birth. "The Vagina Monologues" gives each of these stories, and others, life—and all for an excellent cause. Author Eve Ensler, began the V-Day movement in 1998, to help end violence and abuse against women through benefit performances of the monologues. Representing "valentine, vagina and victory," the "V" has become a symbol of strength for women worldwide. This is Jackson's first performance of the "Vagina Monologues," with proceeds going to the Mississippi Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Women's Fund. The show has a fresh, talented cast, so you definitely won't want to miss it. For tickets, visit http://www.jfptickets.com.
