C-USA Championships come to Jackson.

Southern Miss and Ole Miss were winners in NCAA Regionals on Monday night. They advanced to this weekend's best-of-three Super Regionals.

In Atlanta, USM claimed its first Super Regional berth with a 12-8 victory over Georgia Tech on Monday night. USM will play Florida on Saturday in Gainesville, Fla. (2 p.m., ESPNU). The Golden Eagles are bidding for their first College World Series trip in Coach Corky Palmer's final season. He announced several weeks ago that he would retire at the conclusion of this season.

In Oxford, Ole Miss rode an astounding complete game by pitcher Drew Pomeranz to a 4-1 victory over Western Kentucky. The Rebels will host Virginia in the Super Regional. Game 1 is Friday at 1 p.m. (ESPN2/97.3 FM). The Rebels are in the Super Regionals for the fourth time in five seasons and for the first time since 2007.

This is the just the second time two Mississippi teams have reached the Super Regionals. The last time was in 2007, when Ole Miss and Mississippi State did it.
