Deuce McAllister Nissan Files For Bankruptcy

Former Saints' running back Deuce McAllister filed for bankruptcy protection for his Jackson Nissan dealership.

Deuce McAllister Nissan filed for bankruptcy on Tuesday.

It's been a tough month for McAllister, a Lena native and former Ole Miss star. McAllister is the New Orleans Saints' all-time leading scorer, but the team cut him in February. McAllister said Tuesday's action does not affect his other businesses in Jackson.

McAllister is reportedly having issues with Nissan's financing arm, according to MSNBC, which says McAllisters owes "more than $6.6 million and nearly $300,000 in interest," after defaulting on a deal and exceeding his credit line. The bankruptcy allows him to search for investors while protecting his inventory.

This is awful to hear, but hopefully, the business will be able to survive.

I hope so too, Golden Eagle. That's where I've been taking my Nissan for months, and I've been really happy with the service they've given me.

Tim, where you have been? Nice to see you around again! I am looking at buying a car within the next couple of months. Not a brand new one, but I have Deuce McAllister's dealership in mind. Plus, I want to try to do what I can to support Jackson businesses.
