The Bulldogs claw past the Rebels. … JPS schools claim two crowns. … It was a mixed weekend on the diamond for the state's college nines.

Men's college basketball: Mississippi State 82, Ole Miss 80. The Bulldogs earn a measure of revenge and third place in the SEC West.

High school basketball: The Callaway boys and Murrah girls win state titles at the Big House.

Women's college basketball: Delta State 53, Arkansas-Monticello 51, OT. The Lady Statesmen win their fourth consecutive GSC championship. DSU's men's and women's teams are both going to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

College baseball: Hawaii 11, Mississippi State 5. The Bulldogs' trip was anything but paradise. Meanwhile, Ole Miss swept and Southern Miss was swept.

College baseball: Millsaps 10, Austin 7. The Majors are off to the best start in school history.
