If they win, they will play on Saturday. You can spend big chunks of the day watching NCAA action through Sunday.
Friday, March 20
College baseball, Mississippi State at Georgia (6 p.m., Athens, Ga., CSS/620 AM): The Diamond Dogs face a dogfight, too, in their first SEC road series of the season. Jackson State at Mississippi Valley State (1 p.m., Itta Bena). JSU begins a weekend SWAC series with the Delta Devils.
Saturday, March 21
Women's college basketball, Mississippi State vs. Texas in NCAA Berkeley Regional (11 a.m., Columbus, Ohio, ESPN2): The Lady Bulldogs will play in the NCAA tourney for the first time since 2003.
Sunday, March 22
College baseball, Mississippi State at Georgia (1 p.m., Athens, Ga., CSS/620 AM): The Bulldogs conclude their weekend SEC series.
Monday, March 23
College basketball: Take your pick at 6 p.m.: A second-round NIT game (ESPN) or a second-round NCAA women's tournament game. Doctor S bets that some might opt for the replay of a Mississippi State-Georgia baseball game on CSS.
Tuesday, March 24
College baseball, Mississippi College at Belhaven (6 p.m., Smith-Wills Stadium, Jackson): The Choctaws and Blazers meet in a Maloney Trophy Series game. Doctor S still thinks the winner of this series should get an entertainment center.
Wednesday, March 25
College baseball, Ole Miss at Southern Miss (6:30 p.m., Hattiesburg, 97.3 FM): The unfriendly rivals will duel on the diamond. It's too bad these two can't get together in football or men's basketball.
