High school football, Lanier at Callaway (7 p.m., Newell Field, Jackson): The Chargers play host to the Bulldogs in a JPS showdown.
Saturday, Oct. 10
College football, Houston at Mississippi State (11:30 a.m., Starkville, ESPNU 105.9 FM): The Bulldogs will have their paws full with the Cougars, who had beaten two BCS teams before losing at UTEP. Alabama at Ole Miss (2:30 p.m., Oxford, Ch. 12, 97.3 FM): The Rebels can earn redemption with an upset of the third-ranked Crimson Tide. Southern Miss at Louisville (6:30 p.m., Louisville, Ky., ESPNU, 1180 AM/103.3 FM): Before the Cardinals jumped from C-USA to the Big East, these two were bitter rivals.
Sunday, Oct. 11
NFL football, Indianapolis at Tennessee (7:20 p.m., Ch. 3): The Titans, who have started 0-4 look for their first win against the unbeaten Colts. Not so good.
Monday, Oct. 12
NFL football, New York Jets at Miami (7:30 p.m., ESPN, 930 AM): After being derailed by New Orleans the J-E-T-S try to get back on track against the Dolphins.
Tuesday, Oct. 13
Movie, "Grand Prix" (5:45 a.m., TCM): This 1966 film follows four Formula One drivers on and off the track. It's still one of the best auto racing movies ever made.
Wednesday, Oct. 14
College football, Boise State at Tulsa (7 p.m., ESPN): The Broncos face the Golden Hurricane in a showdown of top non-BCS teams.
