For the month of November, the state's unemployment rate was 9.8 percent, a slight increase from 9.7 percent in October, the Mississippi Department of Employment Security reported yesterday.
The state's unemployment rate decreased from 10.7 percent in November 2009. The report shows Rankin County with the state's lowest unemployment rate at 6.3 percent and Noxubee County with the highest unemployment rate at 19.8 percent. Hinds County reported an unemployment rate of 8.8 percent.
