ABC News: GOP, Party of No?

Interesting that ABC seems to be taking the gloves off in this one. Maybe the snow is finally getting to the national media up there in D.C. I think it's good that this obstructionism in Washington is getting some light. Maybe now we can get some stuff done -- yes, in a bi-partisan way -- in D.C. (I, for one, want to hear more about these tax credits for employees!)

Money quote is the reporter at about 0:42, when he points out that Congressional GOP is "even saying 'no' to their own ideas."

Also of interest today in the land of national reporting that actually does some good; the American people aren't ready to give up on Healthcare Reform yet, according to a poll in the Washington Post.

In that same poll, 58 percent say the GOP is not doing enough to forge compromise with Obama on important issues; 44 percent say Obama isn't doing enough (while 9 percent say he's doing too much).

It is about frigging time somebody called it like it is. The GOP has had it way too easy in the media.

Any bets on ABS (and Disney) being called the liberal media after this?

Who cares? Some media worry way too much about cheap attacks from folks ruffled by the truth. You have to have a thick skin to be in this business; you must stay focused on the truth regardless of who it ticks off. If you do your job well, you'll make just about everybody mad at some point.

If you think the Sawyer report is something, I hope you were tuned into the Rachael Maddow(sp) Show on(MSNBC)last evening. She went through a laundry list of Republicans who voted "NO" on the stimulus bill; yet, they were filmed with these big checks and special news events bragging on the money and the great benefits being brought to their states. This is so hypocritical! Is it possible for these folks to get away with this kind of nonsense?

I watch Rachel every night. That was quite a thorough list too. If I were Obama or any of the elected Democrats, I'd be screaming out at the top of my lungs about the GOP's hyprocrisy. Nice to see ABC hop on the bandwagon. Now if they only get George Stephanopolous to ask some tough questions and not let anybody say things without challenge.

They are indeed the party of no progress, no inclusion, no equality, no honesty, no integrity, no cooperation, no accomlishments, no good, etc. Soon we good people are going to have to do to them what God did to their leader millions of years ago when he threw Satan from Heaven's gates.
