We're asking readers on Twitter and Facebook and all of you to provide your favorite snow ice-cream recipes. Here are what we've gotten so far; add your own in comments! Patrick Taylor: Southern Sideboards' version is what I grew up having (once every 7 or 8 years): can of condensed milk, can of evaporated milk, tsp of vanilla and powder-fresh Mississippi snow. ·
Susan Marquez: 8 cups snow, 1 can condensed milk, 1 tsp. vanilla. My mama used to make it for us on the rare occasion of snow...and Paula Deen uses the same recipe.
Dawn Beasley Macke: An easy one: 2 c. half & half, 5/8 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, rare Mississippi snow. Who's on the testing panel? :D
Richard Perry substitute: bourbon for the vanilla extract
@zoolady: Gallon or so of snow, 1 cups sugar, 2 Tablespoons vanilla, whip in millk until it is icream
@moorebully: 6 cups freshly powdered snow, 9 cups any liquor.
