The Wizard of Oz will take place tonight and tomorrow at Thalia Mara Hall. For those of you wondering where to have lunch today (or dinner tonight before the show), the following is partial list of restaurants reported open today by Grady Griffin of the Mississippi Hospitality and Restaurant Association:

We anticipate Walker's and Olga's to receive clearance for dinner tonight, but call them first for details.

Two Sister's Kitchen will be open for normal business (less salad bar) beginning Friday. Closed Saturdays (always) but open Sunday for lunch. GO GET JFP'S BEST FRIED CHICKEN and lots of it please. Best veggies and angel biscuits as well.

Had a great time at Hal and Mal's last night as they kept the newly mobile JFP Lounge watered and fed despite an otherwise small turnout. (We had a nice turnout and great conversation in the Oyster Bar!) Folks -- things are back open -- get out there and hear some music, buy a drink, order some food and support local business!

I echo the echo... Folks, you have no idea how this crisis has affected the financial ability of local stores, especially restaurants, to remain open in the future. Whether breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a mid-afternoon cup of joe & a muffin, GO EAT OUT OFTEN!
