Gov. Haley Barbour will deliver the twice-delayed Mississippi State-of-the-State speech tonight at 6 p.m. The speech, postponed because of water issues in Jackson, will air live on Mississippi Public Broadcasting TV, radio and on the Internet.
Prior to the address, Marty Wiseman, director of the Stennis Institute of Government at Mississippi State University, and Mary Coleman, director of the University Center for Scholars at JSU, will provide analysis and commentary. Following the speech, MPB will broadcast a response from the state's Democratic Party.
MPB will stream the broadcast live on its Web site, http://www.mpbonline.org.
