In other fronts, I've been doing the Wii Fit routine every single day (minus the out of town weekend for the 4th). I'm averaging 30 minutes a day of actual work out time on the game, and trying to reach the goal of 200 calories burned each time. These goals are small and arbitrary, but they're still more than I was doing last month. I get my heart rate up, I build up a good sweat most days, and I have sore muscles in places that forgot what exercise felt like. When it starts to get easy I'll increase the routine, though I'm not looking forward to that. It means I'll have to get up earlier, and very likely means I'll have to suffer the indignity of having my husband watch me work out. So embarrassing! Isn't the home-gym idea supposed to circumvent voyeurs?
My other idea to get myself back in shape is to keep a food journal. I've already forgotten I was doing that. Note to self: play catchup this evening! The MyPlate website is very intuitive. I hear they have an iphone app too. Can I convince myself that I need a new phone so I can use this app? Oh, and so I can take better pictures of my pets on the fly. Two very important reasons to upgrade phones.
I think I got sidetracked again...
