Enjoy the weather Saturday and see the new Sumatran tiger exhibit at the Jackson Zoo.

Start the weekend off by heading to the Jackson Community Design Center at 5:30 p.m. for "Cross-Pollinate: A Speaker Series." Shahid Buttar, of the Bill of Rights Defense Committee in Washington, D.C., and a Huffington Post columnist, will speak about government accountability in relation to the war on terror. Afterwards, stimulate the local economy and fill your stomach by heading to one of the city's fine restaurants. Check out the JFP Restaurant Listings and menu guide to plan your evening.

On Saturday, get your springtime haircut and help Mississippi cancer patients by going to the Cut-A-Thon from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Colorize Hair Studio in Ridgeland. The cost is $30, and all proceeds go to Hope House of Hospitality in Jackson.

If you want to enjoy the warmer weather, head to the Jackson Zoo for "Zoo Day" from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Zoo keepers, volunteers, and zoo staff have prepared special activities including live music, a craft sale, cartoon character meet-and-greets, and more. The zoo will also open the new Sumatran tiger exhibit.

Looking to hear some of Jackson's best live musicians? Start off the night at Hal & Mal's where Jamie Weems, Johnny Bertram, Taylor Hildebrand and Valley Magee fuse their musical talents in the new band Horse Trailer, starting at 9 p.m. Then head to F. Jones Corner where Sherman Lee Dillon and Scott Albert Johnson will provide some of the best blues and jazz entertainment in town. For more ideas, visit JFP Music Listings for all of Jackson's music options.

Start your Sunday morning off with brunch at the King Edward Hotel where the Howard Jazz Trio will perform. Sunday is also your last chance to catch "Jim Henson's Fantastic World" exhibit at the Mississippi Museum of Art. The exhibit features some of Henson's most beloved characters and insight into his creative process. If you're looking to unwind, head over to the Serious Syrah Wine Tasting at BRAVO! where sommeliers Kelly Boutwell and Norm Rush will share the history and origins of Syrah and offer tastings from France and California. Make sure you check out Best Bets to start your search for entertainment, and the JFP Events Calendar for even more options.
