On Saturday morning, nature lovers can head to the Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge (2970 Bluff Lake Road, Brooksville) at 8:30 a.m. to join the Jackson Audubon Society's Fall Migration Field Trip. If you want to help others, you can choose from two walks starting at 9 a.m. The Walk to Defeat Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis is at Winners Circle Park (100 Winners Circle, Flowood). The Central Mississippi Down Syndrome Society's Buddy Walk is at LeFleur's Bluff State Park, Mayes Lake (115 Lakeland Terrace) and includes family activities for those not walking. For a fun fall activity, head to Blocktoberfeast on Montbrook Street in the Broadmeadow neighborhood at 3 p.m. The third annual BlocktoberFeast includes the annual Whole Hog Pig Roast. On Sunday. take a short road trip to The Attic Gallery (1101 Washington St., Vicksburg) for the gallery's Art Car Project at 2 p.m. Participants can bring decorated Altoids tins to attach to the gallery's 1993 Toyota Corolla, call 601-638-9221 for more details.
