The city of Jackson is partnering with the city of Hattiesburg to host a three-day conference on community development.
"Reaching for Tomorrow's Housing Today," is today through Aug. 24 at the Lake Terrace Convention Center in Hattiesburg.
The conference aims to promote, educate, and create awareness of the housing resources and innovative methods of rebuilding communities in the Capital City and other areas across the state.
The keynote speakers are Edward L. Jennings, the regional administrator of Region IV of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and state Senator Hillman T. Frazier, who also serves as chairman of the senate housing committee.
The conference is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and cost $120 per person to attend. Register online here.
