Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood unveiled a new state website yesterday to protect consumers against counterfeit merchandise.
The Mississippi Intellectual Property Crimes Center provides tips on how consumers can spot counterfeit merchandise.
The U.S. Department of Justice is providing funding for the AG's anti-counterfeit campaign called Operation Knock Out Knock-Offs. The federal grant also funds statewide law enforcement training courses to help local, state and federal task force members spot fraudulent brand-name items and prosecute offenders.
