The Mississippi Economic Council announced plans yesterday to form a blueprint for the state's future economic development.
The council is partnering with the Mississippi Partnership for Economic Development to launch "Blueprint Mississippi" in fall 2011.
The project will provide recommendations for the state to explore new areas of economic opportunity in the following areas: early childhood education, workforce training, culture and tourism resources, targeted industries and technology.
