Congress St. Bar and Grill is now serving dinner.

A new consignment store is slated to open this summer in West Jackson. Carmichael, Miss., native Thelma Hardiman said the store, which she is in the process of naming, will open at 531 W. Capitol St. next to Koinonia Coffee House.

The store will feature women, men's and children's clothing. Proceeds from clothing sales will benefit New Way Mississippi, a nonprofit organization that works with families and individuals suffering from drug abuse.

"We hope to help build up that area of Jackson," Hardiman said.

Hardiman has not yet determined the opening date for the consignment store.
