Jackson Public Schools has announced it will hold town hall meetings to gather input on the search for a new superintendent. Read more of the Jackson Free Press' coverage of the search for a new JPS superintendent, or read the statement announcing the meetings below.

The Jackson Public Schools' Board of Trustees has scheduled four town hall meetings to seek community and parental input regarding the qualities desired in the new superintendent. The meetings are scheduled as follows:
6 p.m. – Blackburn Middle School, 1311 West Pearl Street
6 p.m. – Kirksey Middle School, 5677 Highland Drive
6 p.m. – McLeod Elementary, 1616 Sandlewood Place
6 p.m. – Cardozo Middle School, 3180 McDowell Road Extension
The town hall meetings will be conducted by representatives of Ray and Associates, Inc., the search firm hired by the JPS Board of Trustees to assist with the superintendent search.
Parents and community members may also complete a survey and offer any additional comments they would like to share about the characteristics of the new superintendent. The survey is posted on the JPS web site at http://www.jackson.k12.ms.us until 8 a.m., January 12, 2012.
