JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Southwest Airlines is dropping one of three flights between Jackson and Houston, Texas, on June 1.
Dirk Vanderleest, chief executive officer of the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority, tells The Clarion-Ledger that the discount airline will drop its 2:10 p.m. flight, leaving it with just two — a 6:45 a.m. flight and another at 6:20 p.m.
Vanderleest says Southwest is tweaking its schedule as it continues integrating its wholly owned subsidiary AirTran Airways into its flight plans.
In addition to the two daily flights to Houston, Southwest still offers a daily non-stop flight from Jackson to each of Baltimore/Washington International, Orlando and Chicago Midway.
