Chad Langley, local franchise owner for Batteries Plus Bulbs, recently announced the opening of a new store, located at 1060 E. County Line. Road in Ridgeland. A press release stated that the store will be the second Batteries Plus Bulbs location for Langley, who also operates a location in Flowood. The new location will provide access to more than 45,000 different types of batteries, light bulbs and accessories.
Batteries Plus Bulbs stores offer batteries for devices ranging from common items such as watches, cars, digital cameras, laptops, and smartphones to batteries for old toys and novelty or obscure electronic devices. The Ridgeland store will also test, condition, and rebuild battery packs for rechargeable household and business-to-business products, as well as offer battery installation services for items such as watches, cars, trucks and keyless remotes. Batteries Plus Bulbs of Ridgeland will also test car or truck batteries and vehicle electrical systems for free.
Trained store associates can recommend the right battery for cars, trucks and luxury or import automobiles for customers in need of a new battery, and will offer installation while you wait. Batteries Plus Bulbs also sells automotive accessories, including jumper cables, terminals, cleaners and more. The store also offers an in-store recycling program that uses EPA-approved methods for safely recycling batteries, light bulbs and select portable electronic devices.
In addition to its battery offering, Batteries Plus Bulbs has lightbulb products, including everything from common recessed and track lighting, in both incandescent and LED options, to specialized bulbs for cars, healthcare equipment, aquariums, projectors and more. Batteries Plus Bulbs also serves businesses with lighting products such as emergency lights, exit signs, parking-lot lights, ceiling lights, vehicle lights and more. Business account programs offer customers volume discount opportunities, onsite needs analysis, energy savings programs, online ordering, and delivery and recycling services.
Batteries Plus Bulbs also offers in-store repairs for Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads and iPods, most Samsung devices and more. Networking at Noon at Old Capitol Inn
On Wednesday, Dec. 17, the Greater Jackson Chamber Partnership is hosting Networking at Noon at Old Capitol Inn (226 N. State St.). The chamber's monthly event offers the opportunity to network and promote local businesses while enjoying a meal at one of the many chamber restaurants.
Networking at Noon meets at different chamber member restaurants each month to allow them to promote each other's businesses while getting to know new friends. Participants can exchange business cards and obtain leads for their own business by building relationships with their neighbors.
Each participating restaurant will be giving away a $20 gift card to a lucky member. The restaurants also waive the tea or soft-drink charge for each attendee. If an attendee brings a prospective member with them, and they join the chamber that day, GJCP will comp their lunch.
For information on GJCP or Networking at Noon, call 601-948-7575 or visit www.greaterjacksonpartnership.com.
