JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Jackson police say they are expecting a large turnout for the city's Amnesty Days.
WAPT TV reports the city's Municipal Court Services will hold the annual event Thursday and Friday at the Jackson Police Department Headquarters.
City officials say residents will be able to pay tickets, court-imposed fines and court costs while waiving warrant and administration fees for each violation. Traffic cases and misdemeanors, with the exception of DUI, domestic violence, crimes involving weapons and crimes against another person, can be resolved as part of the amnesty program.
Fines must be paid in full to have fees waived.
